My life lately has definitely been nothing short of a whirlwind. I have been constantly nannying 12 hours a day, 5 days a week for the 4 months. I definitely have learned a lot about myself and the american mother during this. I truly feel like I should be going to some kind of mothers morning out Bible study or at least be about 30 years old.
My day consists of:
6:50 a.m.-Leave my house and head toward Huntersville.
7:30 a.m. (Praying for no traffic)-Grab a serious coffee.
7:50 a.m.-Arrive at Kids house.
8:00 a.m.- Send 7 year old, Alana off to second grade (She walks right down the street to her school).
Then I make breakfast, sometimes pack lunches and gather backpacks for Grayson (4) and Leila (2.5)
9:00 a.m.- Grayson and Leila go to pre-school.
I come home and get as much laundry, dishes and basic cleaning done as possible before "The View" at 11:00 a.m.
I pick babies up and 1:00 and Alana comes home shortly after at 3:00 p.m.
I usually stay until about 6:00 p.m.
That is just a little glimpse into life as I know it for right now. As you can imagine this blog will pretty much be about my adventures as a nanny for a little while. I love it a lot and feel like I am getting some great life skills at this job. However, as much as I adore this sweet fam I am ready to go back to school and turn in my key to the real world! Stay tuned for more updates on scraped knees, first soccer games and oatmeal in my hair!
I'll leave you with this photo of Leila and I...Off to the car pool line I go!
